Supervised Driving Starting at Age 17 (BF17)

The driver's license starting at age 17 (BF17) allows you to gain driving experience under supervision as early as age 17. After your 18th birthday, the supervision requirement is no longer in effect, and you can continue driving completely on your own.

Requirements for the accompanying person

With the driver’s license starting at age 17 (BF17), you can start gaining driving experience and enjoying greater mobility a year earlier. During your drives, a registered accompanying driver will be with you to ensure added safety. To ensure everything goes smoothly, the accompanying driver must meet certain requirements.

Personal Requirements
·At least 30 years old
·Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 5 years
·Less than 1 point in Flensburg
Formal Requirements
·No driving restrictions
·Must be listed as an accompanying person on the application

Training Process

Theory Classes
Available for ages 16 years and 5 months and older.

Theoretical Exam
Available for ages 16 years and 9 months and older.
03
Practical Exam
Available for ages 16 years and 11 months and older.
04
BF17 Driver's License
Exhibition at exactly 17 years old.
Driver's License Class B
Safe mobility, hands-on learning, and a thorough education leading to a successful exam.
